CircusNext European Season Performance – Compagnie De Fracto/ Bristol UK
If you would like to attend the invite-only performance of “Flaque” by Compagnie Defracto (FR – Jeunes Talents Cirque Europe 2009-2010 Laureate) on Saturday 28th October 2017 at 7.30pm at Unit 15, Premier Business Park, Bristol, free tickets are available.
“Flaque is a piece of juggling in which the rules are installed only to be broken. The body and juggling work of Flaque is located halfway between the cartoon and the butô. Elastic bodies, explosive balls, fantastic catches and tortures. The bodies fall more than the balls, and the stake of the catch is the first motivation of each movement. The notion of efficiency is upset. The fastest path between two points is not a straight line, the fastest movement to catch a ball is not to stretch the arm, but to engage the entire body towards the ball, with a maximum of softness. Flaque is a juggled graffiti. The scenography is drawn on the ground, the light creation repaints the walls and transforms the play space into a cross-room with a disco. The floor, a fall partner, is considered a scenographic element in its own right to which the show adapts itself.”
Compagnie Defracto is a young live performing company whose ambition is to develop body language and juggling created in 2008 in the Paris region by Guillaume Martinet, Minh Tam Kaplan and Audrey Jacquiot. Their first show was a 2010 Jeunes Talents Cirque Europe laureate.
This show runs for 50 minutes and is suitable for ages 10 years+.
